The Armed Forces of Malta intends to issue a call for enlistment of soldiers aspiring to pursue a technical military career. The aim of this call is to invest in newly enlisted soldiers in order to enhance the AFM’s technical expertise/capability in various sections.
Selected candidates shall be enlisted to fill vacancies as Gunner Recruits and will be required to undergo a basic training course of 5 months maximum duration prior, during or post the MCAST course. Applicant who are already pursuing or interested to pursue a technical military career in the AFM will be required to choose from the MCAST courses listed below:
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance
• Diploma in Aircraft Structures and Repairs
• Advanced Diploma in Aviation Operations
• EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Category ‘A’ Licence Course
• Aircraft Maintenance Technician Course (leading to EASA Part-66 CAT B 1.1 Examinations)
• Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance (Avionics)
• Diploma in Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning
• Advanced Diploma in Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning
• Diploma in Welding and Fabrication
• Advanced Diploma in Welding and Fabrication
• Advanced Diploma in Electrical Systems
• Diploma in Engineering (Electronics)
• Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronics and Control Engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronics Engineering
• Advanced Diploma in Marine Engineering
• Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Marine Engineering
• Diploma in Deck Operations
