Draw and Code like to invite you to take part in the invigorating challenge of the Maltaverse Hackathon, taking place on April 14-16th. The deadline to register is March 31st, we have some amazing prizes up for grabs that you won’t want to miss out on.
Draw & Code have invited YouAR and Gaming Malta to set a challenge that is all about reimagining our relationships with mobile technology and the places we live, work and visit. The Maltaverse is Draw & Code and YouAR’s dynamism in wanting to create the first nationwide ‘real world metaverse’. With an aim to change how citizens and visitors of Malta interact with the space around them, you are invited to the challenge of connecting physical and digital spaces to build on an ‘open spatial web’.
In this two day hackathon you’ll work in teams of up to five people to create your own project on the theme of space and location using YouAR’s innovative technology. Their augmented reality software encourage new ways to create, share and discover the ever-evolving world around you and we want to see how you would approach experimenting with their kit using your own concepts.
You will have 48 hours to collaborate, prototype and execute an idea. We don’t expect you to be a software expert to take part, but the hackathon requires Unity development, UX design or game design skills to participate.
Come and test our your skills, try out state-of-the-art tech and work in teams with people to create something exciting.
