Job Description:

As a Level 1 IT Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure at our customer’s site. Your primary responsibilities will include:

      • Providing day to day local and remote desktop support, addressing inbound calls, and answering user questions
      • Responding to tickets in a timely manner and respecting SLAs
      • Addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly
      • Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and peripherals
      • Collaborating with the customer’s IT team to escalate and resolve complex issues
      • Maintaining documentation and internal knowledge base
      • Monitoring network performance and security, addressing vulnerabilities as needed
      • Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining positive client relationships

Experience and Qualifications:

      • Recognized IT qualification (Bachelor’s Degree / National Diploma in Computing)
      • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar IT support role
      • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and networking components
      • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving within Windows environments
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Professional industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper) are a plus

Technical Knowledge:

      • Hardware troubleshooting and repair
      • Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
      • Experience in Active Directory, Windows Server, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP
      • Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
      • Software installation and maintenance
      • Security best practices
      • Experience in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
      • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
      • Familiarity with ticketing systems for efficient incident management

Training: On-site training will be provided to ensure you are well equipped to excel in this role

Note: This position will primarily be based at the specified customer site, but the selected candidate may occasionally be dispatched to provide support to other customer sites as required
