On the 18th of April MCAST IICT lecturer Mr Robert Abela and five of his cohort made an on-site visit (from the part-time Advanced Fibre Optics course and Higher National Diploma in Networking) to Gudja where Go technicians unearthed a 288 fibre cable (the biggest used by them) from Zejtun to Zurrieq. Fibres from this cable were spliced with a smaller aerial cable that will eventually service an area in Zejtun. The technicians were very helpful in explaining the work taking place and answering the questions by the students.
We would like to thank Silvan Montesin and Joe Farrguia from GO for their support to make such events happen.
