GFI’s user experience and GUI design team is working on changing how businesses interact with network and security software. We are looking for a creative GUI developer who will work closely with the design and product engineering groups to build the next generation user interface for our suite of software products. In this role you will help us change the world by contributing in the design and hands-on development of product GUIs which are stylish, modern and above all, user-friendly.
As part of this highly talented team, you will learn and help us in:
- Translating user feedback and usability test-results into elegant and user-friendly software interfaces that are responsive and usable on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Develop the front-end of such proposed designs using latest breed of HTML, CSS, Jscript, SASS and other modern web technologies using frameworks such as MVC and Angular JS.
- Be a team player committed towards continuous improvement, innovative GUI design and positive user experience.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A deep understanding of HCI and UX principles as well as passion for innovative GUI/UX design
- An innate ability to understand complex concepts and put them down into user friendly and eye catching designs
- Outstanding front-end code skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, etc. (Experience working with Angular JS and MVC is an asset)
- Practical problem-solving skills and an ability to empathize with users’ needs
- Expertise in prototyping and wire-framing tools and the creation of interactive mock-ups
- A Solid technical (ICT) background
- Team player attitude and exemplary communication skills
Previous work experience in a similar post and/or formal training in HCI/GUI design will be considered assets. This is a full-time post
