User Experience and GUI Designer (Intern)
An opportunity has arisen for interns to join GFI’s Product Studios in the position of ‘User Experience and GUI Designer’. Interns will be able to gain both insight and work experience in the field of GUI/Interaction design for software solutions which are built and sold in international markets including US, EMEA and AP using modern technologies and approaches to the software development life cycle (SDLC).
About the team:
GFI Product Studios responsibilities at GFI include the development of user documentation and training, localization, as well as software user experience, GUI design and Development.

This role will provide you with exposure and experience to user centered design methodologies and principles. You would also be contributing to User Experience and design projects (new visual designs, technically detailed interaction flows and prototypes) aimed at a truly international audience in one of the most rapidly growing fields of ICT – Human Computer Interaction. You will gain significant experience in one of Malta’s leading software houses as well as hands on exposure to roles such as UI designers, HCI researchers and graphic artists. This internship enhances your future work opportunity prospects through the experience gained. This internship may also be your gateway to a future position within the GFI Software.
Who we are looking for:
If you have an inquisitive personality and innovative mindset, a flair for design and eagerness towards making things look nice and an outgoing personality with strong problem solving skills, you might be the one we are looking for. Expertise in the use of graphic/creative design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, wire framing and prototyping tools as Axure/Balsamic will be considered an asset. Additionally, if you have front-end coding abilities using HTML/CSS/JScript/JQuery and/or mobile app development will be considered strong assets.
