Yesterday the Information Security & Governance Department at MITA was trusted with performing a 2 hour lecture, for MCAST Networking & Computer Systems BSc students.

Robert Muscat covered Internet facing attacks while demonstrated the Bluekeep vulnerability exploitation technique given its negligent exposure around the World. Antoine Debono illustrated the persistent attacks using Social Engineering demonstrating credential harvesting attacks and spear-phishing attacks, which are able to defeat several security mechanisms. Ryan Bugeja highlighted the continuous exposure to Wi-Fi attacks, showcasing high profile incidents while also presented security issues surrounding Wi-Fi captive portals. Martin Camilleri acquainted the audience with Offensive Security strategies being adopted by a number of countries, while also highlighted the number of local Laws that address Cyber attacks.
