Micro Technology Consultancy Ltd is one of Malta’s leading IT suppliers. The Company’s main activities are retail and assembly of computer hardware and related accessories. They are specialized for the corporate market and are partners with industry leaders like Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, Intel, Adobe, 3CX, Western Digital and Qnap to name a few.
The IT Support Officer will be reporting to the Director. Duties will include but are not limited to: investigating and resolving complex incidents/problems and working with other IT staff and vendors where necessary in order to ensure the earliest possible resolution; ensuring the highest level of service is maintained at all times; maintaining up to date awareness of developments in the IT industry and identifying how appropriate ones can be applied to improve productivity and security; troubleshooting a variety of hardware/networking issues; offering technical support on-site, via phone or email whilst also working on PBX phone systems.
This position calls for a meticulous and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and also work on his/her own initiative. Proficiency in written and spoken Maltese and English is a must for this position. Applicants must hold a relevant IT Diploma/Degree whilst a clean and valid driving license is also necessary. Moreover, industry Certifications such as Cisco and Microsoft will be considered an asset.
