If you work or worked in ICT you would probably never had time to think about possible careers. Have you ever given a thought on how satisfying it is to create tomorrow’s ICT practitioners? ICT Teachers are probably the most important persons to influence students about the digital world.

Moving from one career to another can be a tough decision, but very possible.  The Ministry for Education and Employment is launching a recruitment campaign to support ICT professionals who wish to move into teaching.

Teachers are driven by a noble desire to make an important positive impact on students.  Teachers choose to make a real difference in the lives of other people.  There is a lot of work to be done, but it is the collective effort of many dedicated teachers that will make the most difference.  Whether you wish to influence the next generation, have a passion for IT, wish to be a lifelong learner or wish to give something back to society, teaching is unique in offering all of these in one profession.

With the impact of Covid-19, teachers have shown to be able to adapt their teaching methods to become more digital very quickly.  They have learned new tools and continued with their dedicated work from the first days of the closure of schools.

There are thousands of exceptional teachers helping to shape the next generation of students and we would like to encourage individuals to join this unique and dynamic. We encourage you to consider teaching as a career and influence shaping the lives of the and to present teaching as a creative and vibrant career.
