You may be familiar already with Hackathons…well… events that allow creative people and entrepreneurs to develop a product or an idea to solve a challenge. So what is a Climathon? It is simply a Climate Hackathon! And the best part of it is that Malta will have the very first one ever with the theme – Cultivating Sustainable Tourism in Malta.
About Climathon 2020
MCAST, together with the Ministry for Environment, Climate Change and Planning and the Climate Action Board is bringing Climathon to Malta! This is your chance to have an impact by taking on the challenge provided by the Ministry for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning on how to cultivate sustainable tourism in Malta.
We need you and your creativity! You need to develop a solution within 24 hours during the climathon. We will be offering a number of workshops to help you build your idea and make it sustainable.

Who Can Join?
Anyone is welcome to join as long as you have the climate mindset! As part of a diverse team, with participants ranging from policymakers to IT gurus and innovators, youth to academics, students to business leaders, and supported by experienced coaches and various experts you will have 24 hours to come up with solutions to this challenge.
