MCAST Institute of Information and Communication Technology acknowledges support from Industry
On Monday 23 June the MCAST Institute of Information and Communication Technology acknowledged industry partners that donated networking equipment to the Institute.
The donations consisted of networking equipment which will enable students to become familiar with the latest technologies used to deliver Internet service in homes as well as manage IT infrastructures found in large companies.
Mr Conrad Vassallo, Acting Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology thanked industry for their donations and stated “Students now have the opportunity to work on the actual networking equipment rather than just virtually. Both members of staff and students feel much more motivated and students feel better prepared for the world of employment”. Mr Stephen Cachia, Principal and CEO, also thanked industry for its continuous support to the College and stated that the best way for the College to keep abreast with the current developments in ICT technology sector is by collaborating closely with industry.
The companies that donated the equipment, namely BMIT, IT&T and WJ England & Son, Tenovar, Computime, Vodafone, ES Group, Crimsonwing, MITA, MFSA, Tektraco, Intercomp Gamesys, were presented with certificates by Mr Cachia, Principal and CEO.
