Role Description:

Within NetRefer, the position of a Software Support Specialist is crucial in providing technical support and troubleshooting product issues reported by NetRefer customers. You will work closely with the User Success Team and the developers to ensure that a thorough root cause analysis is carried out and resolved promptly. The ideal candidate for the Software Support Specialist position should demonstrate a willingness and enthusiasm to embrace the transition and evolve into a Developer role.

Role Location: Malta

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients, troubleshooting and resolving product-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct in-depth product functionalities analysis, identify improvement areas, and suggest enhancements to the development team.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of the product, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in the testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring the product meets performance and reliability standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, proactively suggesting improvements and innovations to enhance product support.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on product usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.


Key Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PowerBI.
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including the ability to create intermediate-level queries and a good understanding of stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimisation techniques.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git.

Education, Certifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience.
  • Professional experience with the following technologies .NET Core 3+, C#, VB.Net, and Python.
  • Experience with GIT, Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience in SQL within an MS SQL Server environment.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex problems or processes.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills that enable coordination of activities between technical teams.
  • Ability to acquire new knowledge and learn new skills rapidly.
