PTL Malta is seeking a Software Engineer to join its dynamic team and support its diverse customer base.
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Product Engineering and Architecture, the successful applicant will join the software development team which develops and maintains bespoke solutions and inhouse products.
The Software Engineer will mentor junior developers, provide strategic technical input and technical solution designs, develop and unit-test solutions that have solid technical architecture and software engineering rigour, and liaise with the customer account management, business development and services teams.
The Software Engineer proactively contributes and develops PTL’s current products according to technical roadmaps; contributes to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provides analysis, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and delivers optimised code with excellent performance attributes.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science or similar and be able to demonstrate proficiency in .NET, C#, ASP .NET, MVC, Javascript, CSS, Web APIs, SQL and Native Mobile Application development on iOS and/or Android with a minimum of two years’ experience. Candidates who have experience with cross-platform mobile application development frameworks such as Xamarin or UWP and use of the Microsoft Azure stack will be given preference. Any relevant certifications in the areas stipulated along with version control tools such as GIT will be considered an asset.
Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated and able to multi-task, and have experience in an Agile development environment.
