PTL Malta is seeking applications for Senior Software Engineers to join its dynamic team and support a number of diverse, sizeable and significant projects.

Based in Malta and reporting to the Software Engineering – Manager, the successful applicants will join the software development team which develops and maintains bespoke solutions and house products.

The Senior Software Engineers will mentor junior developers, provide strategic technical input and technical solution designs, liaise with the customer account management, business development and services teams; and develop and unit-test bespoke solutions according to customer requirements.

They shall proactively contribute and develop PTL’s current products according to technical roadmaps; contribute to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provide analyses, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and deliver optimised code with excellent performance attributes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidates will possess a degree in Computer Science or similar and be able to demonstrate proficiency in .NET, C# and SQL with three to five years’ experience. Experience in SOA, such as SOAP and REST services / Web API, Java Script and popular frameworks (JQUERY/Angular) are considered advantageous, while experience with CMS/DMS experience with enterprise systems and open source systems is a plus.

Candidates must understand and apply SDLC principles when working with or leading a team of developers, possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated and able to multitask, and have experience in an Agile development environment.
