Our client is a leading financial and investment company offering a wide range of services that extend from dealing in stocks and shares to the provision of management advisory services.
Function
The Senior Back End Developer will for part of a dynamic software development team and will be reporting to the Director. The main duties will include but not limited to: learning and using cutting edge tools and technologies to solve challenging problems; engineering high availability; working closely with other team members to design and develop real time transactional systems; ensuring that application components align with the application architecture and performance goals; identifying and address application and data issues that affect application integrity; taking ownership of the products and suggest initiatives that improve working efficiency and quality.
Requirements
This position calls for an energetic and ambitious individual who is a team player and willing to work in an agile environment. Applicants must have an IT related degree or qualification and have very strong SQL / T-SQL skills whilst being able to implement high availability, highly scalable database systems. Fluency in English and Maltese is necessary. Knowledge of FIX Protocol and NoSQL systems such as Mongo DB will be considered as a strong asset.

Information
Solid experience with Microsoft SQL server and the following technologies (.NET 4.0 or later, ASP.NET, Web API, MVC/MVVM, C#) are necessary for this role. Experience with SQL Server management, including virtualised environments and experience with source control systems will be considered as an asset.
