Responsibilities
- Introduce new and alternate solutions to problems based on state of the art technologies
- Design, deliver and maintain projects in Linux
- Debugging / troubleshooting platform issues and working closely with teams to resolve issues
- Deploy projects and infrastructures both on premises and in AWS Cloud
- Performance and security tuning of platforms
- Handle out of office hours and on-call rota, weekend support duties
Essential Experience
- Working knowledge of Linux (centos preferable)
- Understanding web infrastructure and troubleshooting
- Understanding of basic concepts of Load balancers, CDNs, Caching and Cloud technologies
Ideal Candidate
- Good English
- Self-learner, team player and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Perseverance to solve issues and not give up in the face of failure
- Time management skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of streaming technologies such as HDS, HLS, DASH
- Good scripting skills (bash, PHP, node.js)
- Knowledge of a programming language
