About: TravelBox is a Malta-based tech start-up company focused on developing technology that brings innovation to the travel and tourism industry. TravelBox is currently in the process of creating a unique platform bringing together the demands of tourists visiting the Maltese Islands with services offered by tourist operators through an innovative customer experience. We are developing a next-generation online marketplace providing great value to its users. The platform has been awarded the University of Malta’s TAKE-OFF Seed Fund Award (TOSFA) in 2017 and we are based at the University’s Enterprise Campus.
Job Purpose (Responsibilities): As a full-stack developer joining TravelBox the selected candidate will be responsible for the overall design and development of our platforms. We are a young and dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment and the position is suited for someone with energy and enthusiasm who can really own this key role for the successful growth of our company. We require a self-starter who sets that tone, works well with minimal supervision and is comfortable with ownership of responsibilities.
Essentially you will possess:
- A deep knowledge and strong software development skillsets experience in Java, JavaScript, Angular/AngularJS, HTML/CSS preferably with at least 1 years’ experience;
- High level of understanding and proficiency in micro services, REST web services, SQL / no-SQL technologies and other web technologies;
- Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related subject.
- Moreover, it would be great if you:
- Have experience in Linux, GIT, Maven, Spring & Spring Boot;
- Are excited by challenges and are a true problem solver with a creative spirit in delivery of solutions.
