A global organisation is seeking to recruit a Personalisation Technician (PET) who will contribute to setting up, thereafter programming and optimising the personalisation systems.

Our client delivers solutions critical to the authentication of products and documents to protect revenues for governments, commercial organisations and financial institutions around the world.
Function
The role forms part of a team on one cell/line on a shift, within the PAT business unit, working closely with the Process Manager, providing technical support, ways of improving quality, cost and deliveries, and scripting personalisation queries and forecasting. The PET will be responsible to provide and maintain printing programs for personalisation using scripting methods; provide Microsoft data for the shop floor using secure database skill set; run and analyse the planning programme for Microsoft; set up, configure, administer and control in house bespoke MSL software to introduce and maintain Microsoft parts and personalisation data; set up and configure in house bespoke GPS software to produce numbering and personalisation data for fiscal lines; administer and control the administration of Microsoft PID key data; liaise with central IS and third parties; assist and work with customers on new projects, parts and products; aid with the rollout of new products through the factory from initial design to finishing; assist and support Sales Dept, Planning and Production in any technical areas of personalisation; provide scripting techniques programs to assist with any processes, and interrogating and administration of databases including standalone ERP system.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have degree in IT, expert knowledge in operating systems, especially legacy ones e.g. DOS; expert knowledge of scripting and object oriented languages (VBScript, VBA, SQL and Java), MCSA and/or SQL experience, sound knowledge of hardware configuration and setups, working knowledge with vision systems; proven knowledge of statistical process control, ability to document SOPs, ability to train others, continuous improvement expertise, and must been trained in operational excellence.
