The eSkills Malta Foundation has sponsored the seventh edition of the Payments International Workshop (PingFIN) hosted by MCAST IICT held between 14th and 18th March 2016.

The PingFIN is an international workshop dealing with handling of financial SEPA payments (using Oracle PL/SQL).  Managerial and teamwork skills, software planning and design skills as well as software programming skills are required.

Malta was represented by 11 MCAST students.  Another 14 students from Croatia and Belgium together with 2 foreign lecturers attended the workshop.

The sponsorship by eSkills Malta Foundation forms part of the eSkills for Jobs Communication and awareness campaign 2015 – 2016. The campaign is aligned with the European Commission’s Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs initiative, an EU-wide multi-stakeholder partnership helping to address a shortfall in the number of European citizens with ICT professional skills, and to exploit the employment creation potential of ICT.
