NetEnt – NOC and Customer Support open position

Position Summary

  • To provide functional and technical support for all NetEnt products and services.
  • Answering support queries via telephone, portal, email and live chat.
  • Manage and take ownership of all service requests/problems/incidents throughout their life cycle, from creation to closure, ensuring that the customer is given regular, high quality updates.
  • Provide first line resolution for incidents and service requests where possible.
  • Assist with the handling of major incidents, identifying and raising any trends to the relevant parties where necessary.
  • Identify any areas of difficulty or areas for improvement providing a quality service to the customer.
  • Ensure all service requests/incidents are completed within agreed SLA targets.
  • Work on a rotating 16/7 shift basis.

 

Essential skills

NOC

The Network Operations Center (NOC) plays a key role in ensuring high availability and attainment of service levels. As a NOC engineer you will interact frequently with Customer Support, 3rd Line Support teams and 3rd party providers, therefore having effective written and verbal communication skills are important.

You will be the single point of contact for handling and monitoring NetEnt’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Making sure that all service outages and degradation are recorded in our ticketing system, raised either by the NOC team members themselves or members of other teams.
  • Making sure all the details occurring during service outages and degradation are recorded in our ticketing system.
  • Helping to coordinate resources and activities required to restore service during an outage or remedy service degradation.
  • Backup responsibility for monitoring of all services and escalation responsibility in case of non-acknowledgement within set SLA by responsible team to a critical alarm.
  • Provide regular status communications during an incident to both internal and external stakeholders in accordance to the incident management process.
  • Acts as a focal point for outages and service degradation until restoration.
  • Ensure follow up action are raised and recorded.
  • Continuously looking for and implementing Incident Management process improvements.
  • Work on a rotating 24/7 shift basis.

Skills:

  • Possess excellent communication skills, needed for delivery of information both to technical teams as well as non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • Be highly motivated, with proven aptitude for learning new skills and keeping up to date with the latest technologies and industry changes.
  • Sound knowledge of RNG and Live Casino environments will be considered an asset.

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring tools including but not limited to Nagios, OP5 and Stackdriver.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Linux Administration including but not limited to, navigation through terminal reviewing and troubleshooting of logs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web services including but not limited to WSDL, SOAP and REST call triggering and troubleshooting.

Entry-Level Developer Program

The program starts off with structured training and 3rd party certifications. Continuation in the program and an offer of employment are contingent upon adequate progress and demonstrated commitment at each stage. The core training curriculum used will be from the Udacity School of Artificial Intelligence’s “Udacity for Enterprise” programs augmented with customized projects. Udacity serves over 100 Global Companies with partners that include Google, IBM, Facebook, GE, Amazon, AT&T, BMW, Accenture, Cisco, and Credit Suisse.

Graduates of our program will have earned world-class credentials that will transfer throughout their career. The selected courses are designed by Sebastian Thrun, Peter Norvig, and Ian Goodfellow – three of the most influential and innovative leaders in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Learning is hands on (project based) using interaction with Amazon Alexa and IBM Watson as well as the company’s own resources. Participants receive detailed and actionable feedback on every project that they submit, from a network of experienced project reviewers.

Although Udacity Nanodegree programs are typically completed online with a 10-hour a week commitment, we will be accelerating the model, delivering it in cadres, and adding additional depth. The programs will be completed in a cadre of 6-12 candidates, onsite in a typical development environment, with an onsite Guide.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite: Candidates will be expected to have a computer science background that includes the basics of programming through HTML, CSS, and Python. Candidates without the CS basic background will be enrolled in 60 hours of pre-employment, assessed, self-paced online programs and their employment offer will be conditional upon completion. Candidates will not be paid while achieving the prerequisites but upon proceeding to training they will receive a €500 stipend.

Training

Trainees will be reviewed after each stage and continuation will require satisfactory performance and a demonstrated commitment to the program. During training, candidates receive €100 a day training stipend.

2-day inculcation in the company’s mission and ethos.
4-week Introduction Sprint: 120 hours of engagement spread over 4 weeks and covering: Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, PyTorch, Calculus, and Linear Algebra – the foundations for building a neural network.

8-week Essentials Sprint: Graduates of “Introduction” will embark upon 240 hours of engagement over 8 weeks: Building a portfolio of projects (ROI Predictions, Customer Segmentation, Deep Learning) and learning about the company’s systems and security protocols. Candidates will graduate ready to work as an entry-level AI-focused developer.

Employment

Candidates completing Essentials and signing an employment contract will receive:

• €1,000 signing bonus
• €1,000 bonus after 6-months of employment
